Recently moving to New York from Atlanta, GA, David Engelhard has already established quite a reputation for himself. In Atlanta David played with local jazz legends such as Kevin Bales, Kinah Boto, Kebbi Williams and Russell Gunn. While in Atlanta, he was able to study with Saxophonist David Sanchez, as well as many other great Atlanta-based teachers. Once in New York, David studied with Antonio Hart at Queens College, and earned a Masters in Jazz Performance.
One of David's most influential periods was performing and touring with the GRAMMY-Award winning Zac Brown Band. David composed horn lines and performed saxophone on a number of songs from the Live at the Fabulous Fox Theater DVD released on Atlantic Records that sold CERTIFIED GOLD. His association with ZBB continued with performance at the 2011 Country Music Awards, and culminated in a Sold-Out show at Madison Square Garden. At the Country Music Awards David had the opportunity to play with legends Gregg Allman, Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, and others. David has also shared the stage with other mainstream and cross-genres acts such as Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver), John Mayer, Grace Potter, and others.

In New York, David continues to perform with top tier jazz musicians, and has performed/worked with Javier Arau Jazz Orchestra, Michael Webster's Leading Lines, along with band members such as Ingrid Jenson, Carl Maraghi, and more.
